Airport & Transportation

The nearest international airport is Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ), about 75 miles away (1 hour 5 minute drive). Link to map

We are able to offer limited complementary “shuttle” transportation between ABQ and the conference site in Socorro. We highly recommend using this transportation, as ride-share services as well as train service are very limited in the area. As an alternative, you may consider booking a rental car. ABQ has all of the major rental car agencies, located here

Online Conference

A foreign national traveling to the United States to conduct temporary business may need a visitor visa, (B-1) unless qualifying for entry under the Visa Waiver Program. Attendees are responsible for securing their appropriate visa. Please contact us at, if you require an invitation letter to accompany your visa application.

Learn more here:

Visas may take up to 8 months to receive.

Mexican Feast

All meals will be provided throughout the conference, except one evening meal. Dining together with others in the ISOTT community is a key opportunity for interaction. Information on Socorro's local restaurants is available on Visit Socorro's Dining page.
